Karen M. Hopkins has over 20 years experience as an integral part of the growth and success of start up companies as well as large, international concerns. As a consultant, Karen works closely with clients to determine the best means of achieving the highest levels of performance for their organization, and developing competent, committed employees, with the goal of creating “best places to work”. She has directed HR functions, customer support areas, career management, survey design and analysis, as well as training and development/performance support departments. Her expertise includes instructional design and training, strategic planning, executive coaching, and career management as well as general Human Resources functions.
Susan A. Amason has spent over seventeen years in various aspects of human resources management, including recruitment, policy design, industrial relations, HRIS, benefits, compensation and generalist roles for companies of all sizes. She has significant experience developing compensation strategy and policies, salary planning and costing, salary survey design, performance management system and incentive plan design, and salary structure design. She has a background in financial, retail and service industries with a strong emphasis on the information systems organizations
Kathleen A. (Kathy) O’Day is a business-savvy Human Resources leader with a track record of developing and executing HR strategies that help grow the business in multi-site, multi-state operations. She is known for implementing Best Practices that positively enhance the bottom line and delight customers. Her experience includes US and International assignments, with extensive background in Benefits, Compensation, and Organizational Development. She has special expertise in planning for people issues that accompany change initiatives. Kathy is recognized for exceptional program management and consultative skills that deliver high impact results.
Juanita H. Nañez is a human resources and diversity consultant with The Hopkins Group. She has a distinguished executive leadership career in the banking, energy, and hospitality industries. She has held the positions of Corporate Recruiter; Manager of Employee Relations; Executive Director of Corporate Human Resources and Employee Relations; and Vice President of Diversity. She is an active member of the Dallas community engaged in organizations with missions focused on diversity-based developmental and educational initiatives. Nañez is fluent in Spanish and English.
Laura J. Phillips has extensive generalist human resources experience, in addition to information systems, operations, and legal, both in the public and private sectors, that spans more than twenty years. As a past owner of a Dallas area human resources consulting firm, Laura is well versed in the many demands facing start-ups and small companies seeking to implement effective HR strategies. Laura’s expertise includes single and multi-site strategic planning, compensation and staffing plan development, benefits plan design, training program development, mergers and acquisitions, and turn-arounds. Her industry experience includes high-tech, manufacturing, healthcare, retail, real estate, municipal government, and construction.
